The Academy of Sciences – Chennai introduces a new initiative called “Summer Research Internship Programme (SRIP)” from the academic year 2024 – 2025 onwards like other National Academies. In this context, the Academy will pool up the expertise of Fellows of Academy to support this move of Academy to offer research exposure in current trends of Science and Technology to PG students preferably from affiliated Colleges/ Universities from rural parts of Tamil Nadu.

  • The Academy of sciences Chennai announces Saturday lecture series (a set of lectures, each of duration two hours) will be delivered by Prof.R.Asokamani Former Head, Department of physics, Anna University, Chennai. First lecture begins at 2.00 pm on 11th March, 2023 (Saturday) in the Department of Nuclear Physics, Madras University (offline) and link for online lecture will be sent one hour prior to the commencement of the lecture. It is intended for PG students/Research scholars and those who teach solid state physics. | More Info
  • Kunthala Jayaraman Distinguished Lecture on “Disruptive reform in higher education and translational research” will be delivered by Dr. P. Kaliraj, Professor of Eminence, Anna University and Former Vice Chancellor, Bharathiar University, Coimbatore on 31st January at 3.00 pm in Ramann Auditorium, AC Tech Campus, Anna University.
