Senior Scientist Awards for the Year 2023

Applications/Nominations are invited for the following Senior Scientist Awards for the year 2023 :

1. Dr. V. Devanathan Award in Physical Sciences
2. Dr. M. Santappa Award in Chemical Sciences

The envelope should be superscribed as “SENIOR SCIENTIST AWARDS” and the last date for the receipt of application/nomination is 31 December 2023.

The Senior Scientist Awards are supported partly by Dr. V. Devanathan Endowment Fund and Dr. M. Santappa Endowment Fund. The award in each discipline will carry a cash prize of 30,000/- with a certificate of merit and a memento.

The purpose of the award is to honour the Senior Scientists who are actively engaged in research in Tamil Nadu and contributed greatly by scientific publications, execution of research projects and development of large research groups. So only those who are currently active in research and have shown innovative thinking and originality alone need apply or be nominated. A brief account of the original work done during the last 10 years along with details of research activity may be submitted. The h-index, i-10 index and citations may also be included.

Those who have already submitted their applications/nominations in the previous years will also be considered along with the fresh applications received this year provided they satisfy the prescribed age limit of 60 years. They need only to send their updated resume.
